A giant Cube has landed!
Chester Osborn is the winemaker and the man behind this amazing architectural structure. Based on Rubrick’s Cube but using only white and green glass, this building houses d’Arenburg Winery’s cellar door and special tasting experiences. It also includes a museum and until Covid struck, a high end and experimental restaurant. Chester is well-known as a very creative character who doesn’t shy away from new ideas. In this instance it has borne results with the Cube becoming an icon in the ‘Vale’. All this creativity doesn’t impede from the main business of d’Arenburg, quality wines, in fact it fuels it. The Osborn family think laterally and this ability to be creative flows through every aspect of what they do. Ready to embrace change has meant that when Covid affected the numbers visiting, they pivoted the business and adapted to make the food offerings and venues safe for everyone. The current major exhibition showcases Salvador Dali’s sculptures, yes, the real thing !! What a lovely environment to settle into for a glass or two of their luscious Shiraz, overlooking a sublime view of vines and valley.
