Willunga Artisan’s Market

On the second Saturday of every month this special group of people come together in the old Show Hall, opposite the Farmer’s Market. They set up the trestles, lovingly curate their display and wait for you to come and say “hello“! There is always a variety of goods from jewellery, ceramics, clothing, cards to …..Calendars!! Yes, I have attended the market a couple of times and have enjoyed chatting to people as they pass by. Most think the images in the calendar are photographs and their interest is only piqued when I tell them they are in fact from my original oil paintings. The groups that come through are a mix of locals and friends of the stall holders who take the to come in for a catchup, to visitors from Adelaide. Some have never been before and are amazed at so much local talent. The Fleurieu really is a creative region, the visual arts and the live music scene is BIG!! I look forward to when we can welcome our interstate and international visitors once again.

Now how could anyone walk past this gorgeous family? Totally dedicated to their craft and with a super cute baby to boot!

Dionita makes great and extremely well priced skirts from recycled and new fabrics, I know, I have a few! She also makes dog coats and here you see Dionita with a shy dog modelling his new coat. ☺️

As a stall holder I’ve discovered you can only come away with a profit if you don’t keep buying from the other stall holders! This is difficult when you set up next to Chris as she always has some beautiful pottery that’s hard to resist. Last market I bought a cup that had nettle imprints on the surface, swoon…
