Hardys Tintara
I work at the Fleurieu Arthouse which is on Hardys site and so have gotten to know the people in the cellar door. Marty was one of the first to get involved with the calendar project. The winery sits on a large beautifully landscaped block of land. The iconic Morton Bay Fig tree is 152 years of age so you can just imagine it’s size and majesty. See this National Trust site for more info Many people who come for a wine tasting take a moment to sit under the trees for a while, sipping their wine or watching their children play in this welcoming space. There is a self-guided tour that you can take which includes a museum room. This is where I saw the old bottles with the beautifully worn labels. Contemplating these aged beauties took me back to a simpler, more basic wine making time.
